View the cash flow forecast
This guide explains how to view your projected cash position and work with forecast scenarios in Cybooks.
The cash flow forecast uses your existing cash and cash equivalent account balances, along with incoming and outgoing transactions, to project your future cash position over a selected date range. You can create multiple scenarios to model different financial outcomes and compare them side by side.

In the sidebar, click Reports and select Cashflow Forecast.
-
Use the Date range filter in the top-right corner to set the period you want to forecast. Select a preset range or enter custom start and end dates.

Frequently asked questions
Why can't I delete a scenario? You cannot delete the default scenario (it has no three-dot menu). If you see the delete option but it is disabled, select a different scenario first -- you cannot delete the scenario that is currently active.
What is the default scenario? The default scenario is the root forecast that Cybooks creates automatically. It serves as the baseline for all other scenarios. You can create new scenarios using it as a reference, but you cannot edit or delete it.
What data does the forecast use? The forecast is based on your cash and cash equivalent account balances from journal entries. It projects future cash position using the same data that powers the cashflow chart on your dashboard.
